Description

My client a prestigious hotel chain based in Burford is looking for hardworking and dedicated Supervisors to join their food and beverage department. This is an integral role to the hotel as you will need to make the guests stay as memorable as you can and also ensure your staff do the same.

Operational responsibilities:
• To operate in a manner which focuses on teamwork, consistent quality and standards.
• To assist with the training of new employees.
• To monitor staff daily, ensuring that staff deliver the highest standards of customer service at all times.
• To ensure staff are presentable and adhering to departmental uniform standards at all times.
• To ensure that all front of house areas are adequately staffed to ensure customers receive the highest standard of service.
• To ensure that all front of house fixtures and fittings are in fully working order and report any problems immediately.
• To act as a vital communication link between Senior Food & Beverage Managers and ensure accurate and effective communication with all staff regarding departmental changes.
• To have full knowledge of menu items for example –preparation of dishes, ingredients, cooking methods, allergens etc.
• To liaise with the Chefs daily to ensure all menu items are available.
• To be responsible for cash handling.
• To be responsible for the ordering & controlling of stock and ensure date rotation is adhered to.
• To allocate staff breaks in accordance with regulations without leaving the department compromised or short staffed.
• To recognise and reward staff members when exceptional customer service or work performance is displayed.

The supervisor on duty should be seen as a role model and will remain professional, organised, calm and approachable at all times.
